About INUG

Vision

The outward vision of INUG is of a world where all people have access to the knowledge and resources with which to meet their basic human needs and promote sustainable development in such areas as water supply and sanitation, food production and processing, housing and construction, energy, transportation and communication, income generation, and employment creation.

Fundamental to this vision is our conviction that each individual has the ability and the responsibility to make a positive impact in the world.

Mission statement

INUG is working towards achieving its vision by engaging with engineering students, professionals and industry as well as the broader community. INUG also co-operates with and supports already established aid organisations and supplies them with technological and scientific competence. One important part of our present activities is therefore to map and support already existing aid organisations and networks.

INUG shall

  • Establish and support a network of individuals who share INUG's goals
  • Facilitate contacts for all people who want to contribute to the transfer of technological and scientific knowledge to people in disadvantaged communities.
  • Through development cooperation with partner organizations support people in developing countries or regions in their effort to improve their quality of life
  • collaborate and have contact with other organisations with the same mission, both nationally and internationally
  • apply for and administrate funds for financing (or partly financing) projects which are within the limits of the mission of the association
